ZHENYA MERKULOVA

Zhenya Merkulova is an architect with over twenty years of experience in a wide variety of residential and commercial projects. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University in 1980, and a Master of Architecture degree from Princeton University in 1984. Ms. Merkulova has worked in New York City as Designer for John Carl Warneke AIA, Agrest & Gandelsonas, and Peter Marino Architect, and as Designer and Project Architect with Larry Bogdanow Associates. In 1989,

Ms. Merkulova joined Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates where she worked as Senior Designer on a variety of large scale commercial projects. In 1991, Ms. Merkulova established a private practice, joining with Paul Gates in 1995 to form Gates Merkulova Architects.

In 1985, Ms. Merkulova was a founding member of The Society of Young Architects, a group formed for the discussion of current ideas in architecture at The National Arts Club.

Zhenya Merkulova is a Registered Architect in the State of New York.
