Parr Studio is located on the top floor a loft on the edge of the Hudson River in lower Manhattan.The program, for a a photographic studio and furniture showroom required ample daylight and enough drama to attract fashion crews for their shoots. The existing building was built at the turn of the century and has thick, load-bearing masonry walls with an internal concrete frame, and only a few small windows along the southern wall. A 75 foot long strip window was cut into the facade, revealing spectacular views of the entire upper harbor.
